What can you do to make the world more colourful?

Make yourself more colourful:

Nails – and do not forget your toenails. There are tiny “tattoos” you can buy for your nails that can make them extra colourful. Also try to paint them in different colours. Painting one of your nails in a different color can be a real eye-catcher. Your nail polish will last longer if you use both a base coat and a top coat over and under your colored polish.

Buy colourful clothing. The underwear at Åhléns is my personal favourites. Children’s socks at H&M. Tops from Bik Bok or Gina Tricot. I find cheerfully coloured woolly hats at Intersport. Or in Spain, but perhaps that is not somewhere you travel to every winter.

Why is it, that when it comes to party clothing, most people opt for black clothes? I do not believe it is solely because "you look thinner in black". The colour black has a serious label on it that I want to get rid of. Imagine a conference room filled with people in colourful suits and multi-coloured dresses. If you have a creative job, it could help with more colours. I have also heard the argument that colourful clothes looks so great on in the summer when you have a tan. But it is in the winter we need to be cheered up. Try it at the next party and listen to the happy exclamations people make.

When it is rainy and dreary outside there is nothing that makes me happier than my bright yellow umbrella. The light that then shines on me, becomes sunlight. It is especially during autumn and winter that we need to surround us with extra colour to compensate for the lack of sunshine. Besides my yellow umbrella I have a bright green raincoat (thanks Helena) and a pair of red wellingtons (thanks Lisa):

Hair – colour it or do highlights or lowlights. If you do not want to colour it – use rubberbands in different colours, bandannas or hair clips.

Face – lips, eyelashes and eyelids. Glitter and sparkles are also cheerful and adds colour to your day.

At Panduro they have fabric paint in small tubes that make relief patterns. You do not even have to fix the colour. I have decorated my jeans:
